DevA International Open FIDE Rated Rapid Chess Tournament 2024

We are thrilled to announce that the Devagiri College Alumni Association, in collaboration with FIDE, AICF, CAK, and AKCA, is organizing the DevA International Open FIDE Rated Rapid Chess Tournament 2024. The event will take place on September 22, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the Fr. Joseph Paikada Memorial Indoor Stadium, St. Joseph's College, Devagiri, Kozhikode, Kerala, India.

This prestigious tournament, approved by the International Chess Federation (FIDE), is set to bring together chess enthusiasts from around the globe. Participants will compete for a total prize pool of Rs. 3 Lakhs, with top players being awarded in various categories, including overall winners, rating slabs, veterans, and the best performers from Kerala and Kozhikode. Special trophies will also be awarded to the top 10 players in the under-15 boys and girls’ categories.

This event offers a unique opportunity for players of all levels to showcase their skills in a competitive yet supportive environment. The tournament will be conducted under the latest FIDE rules and will follow the Swiss system. We invite all chess players to register and participate in this exciting event.
