Debate conducted by The Malayala Manorama Daily, Calicut Unit
The Malayala Manorama Daily conducted a debate relating FIFA World Cup 2018. The programme was conducted within the college premises on June 26, 2018. Students from various departments had participated as they represent the whole college. Supporters of various teams put forward their arguments in a meaningful way. The active participants had made the programme an infotainment one. The programme was reported and photographed by the students of BA Mass Communication for The Malayala Manorama Daily. Jollity 2018
The department of Language and Communication conducted a musical concertat St.Joseph’s College, Devagiri on25th September 2018. The concert was named as ‘Jollity’ and took place at chavara garden of the college. The students of mass communication as well as the association conducted the programme during the lunch break. The venue was decorated by the students in an attractive manner. Almost 10 students sang songs of their choice which made the show bright. The programme included duet and solo songs in Hindi, English, Tamil and also in Malayalam. The songs were of old as well as new ones. The faculties of the college also attended the programme. The audience responded the show cheerfully and the show could maintain the audience elated.
Extended student activities
1. Riya Varghese, Student of Second year BA Mass Communication had attended a drama workshop, conducted by Kerala Sangeetha Nadaka Aademy at Kozhikode cultural centre, Mananchira on August 11, 12 and 13.
2. Anusree K, student of second year BA Mass Communication has been a design intern with Yara Communications, a Calicut based advertising agency from 24 December 2018 to 4 January 2019.
3. Anena S, student of second year BA Mass Communication has been an intern with the Reporter Channel, Calicut from 22 December 2018 to 31 December 2018.
4. Riya Varghese, Ausree K, Diyana K, and Karnika Rajeev had work in the media management team for the Kerala Literature festival conducted from 2019 January 10-13 at Calicut.
