A one day programme of the College Alumni popularly named as DEVAGIRIANS 2009 was held on Saturday 14th Feb 2009. It was unforgettable event for the members. In the forenoon session of the day, department wise get together of the retired and present staff members and old students took place in the respective departments. In that Gurusishya Sangamam programme, the staff members and prominent alumni members were honoured along with the sharing of memories of the members. Each departments until of Alumni, elected its own executive committee comprising of President, Vice-President, Secretary, Joint Secretary, Treasurer, 3 executive members and one staff co ordinator with the Head of the Department as the Patron. From each dept. one of the committee members is nominated to the parent alumni executive committee as its representative. The gatherings took place at the following departments as specified.

English: (Nostalgia 2009) Prof. Shepeard Memorial Hall. Economics: Fr. Columbus Memorial Hall. Mathematics: Prof. M.O. Devassy Hall Physics: Prof. P.K. Achan Memorial Ensemble Chemistry: Prof. P.C. Scaria Memorial Hall. Botany: Prof. Joseph Thomas Memorial Hall Zoology: Fr. K.J. Thomas Memorial Hall Commerce: Fr. Bennet Kurian Memorial Hall Social Work: Fr. Hormice Memorial Hall and Hostelmates at Fr. Abel Nagar (Tagore hostel surroundings)

After the morning gathering a delicious vegetarian lunch was provided to all the members at Reynold's Garden, where sharing of memories over lunch was an exciting experience for the members (from 12.45 pm to 2.00 pm). At 2.pm the general body meeting of the members took place at father Theodosius Nagar, where College Manager -Rev. Fr. Jose Edappadiyil, Principal- Fr. K.M.Joseph, Alumni President - Mr. K.F. George, former Principal- Fr. Mathew Chalil, etc. were on the dias in that function. The ever rolling trophy and cash awards to the winners of Fr. Theodosius Memorial all Kerala Inter Collegiate Oratorical (Elocution) contest were awarded.
A fitting farewell was given to retiring Principal Fr. K.M. Joseph, Mr. Tom Joseph HOD, Physical Edn, Mr. Muraleedharan and Mr. Aravindan (Library Staffs) on this occasion. The general body elected the following members as its office bearers for the coming term. The bylaw is amended accordingly. After the official proceedings variety entertainments of the Alumni members were presented as a part of Old is Gold Programme. More than 1500 members from different walks of life were participated in the function including old students of 1st batch of the College. All of them well appreciated the programme and its organization. Prominent members participated among are Dr. Sukumar Azhikode, Mr. P. Viswam (MLA), Mr. Krishnaprasad (MLA), Chief Electrical Inspector Rtd.Sri.N.V. George, Chief Engineer (Rtd) KWA Sri. K.J. Varkey, retired and present Principals of various institutions Registrar, DEO's, DD-Cine artist Renjan Pramod (Photographer - Director), Sudheesh, etc.

The one day programme was coordinated by the coordination committee consist of Principal, former Alumni President, former Secretary, HOD's of all departments and staff coordinators and the cooridnator Mr. K.V. Chacko.
